Your role
As a Business Support Services Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting a range of Children's Services teams across Wigan, including Family Safeguarding, Complex Safeguarding, Fostering and other specialist services. Working in a flexible, peripatetic role, you will adapt to changing priorities and service needs while providing high-quality administrative support, minute taking, customer service and information management. No two days are the same. You will work alongside dedicated professionals, helping improve outcomes for children, young people and families while embracing new technology, digital tools and innovative ways of working
About you
We are looking for a proactive, organised and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident using Microsoft Office applications, electronic systems and keen to embrace new technologies and digital solutions that improve the way we work. Excellent communication, organisational and minute-taking skills are essential, as is the ability to manage sensitive information with accuracy and professionalism. You will be a strong team player who enjoys variety, can respond positively to change and demonstrates the Team Wigan behaviours of being positive, accountable, courageous and kind.
