Your role:
As a BeWell Recreation Assistant, you will support, enhance, and deliver the day-to-day operations and services in our BeWell facilities.
You will perform Lifeguard duties, helping to provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for customers by supervising swimmers, preventing accidents and responding to emergencies using rescue and first aid skills when required. You will support the day-to-day operation of the leisure facility through equipment setup, housekeeping and adherence to health and safety procedures. Working as part of a team, you will deliver excellent customer service, assist with events, maintain professional competencies through ongoing training, and contribute to opening, closing and evacuation procedures, including working evenings and weekends as required.
About you:
You will be a reliable, safety-conscious and customer-focused individual with a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or be booked onto a course within the next 8 weeks). You will be able to follow instructions accurately, manage your time effectively and remain calm when responding to emergencies. A positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are desirable. Above all, you will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to delivering a safe and high-quality experience for all customers.
