Your role:

As a support worker, you will be working with a gentleman on a 1:1 within his own home and within the community. An understanding or previous experience supporting people with autism would be beneficial. You will support and encourage participation in everyday living skills. You will be a confident person who can give support and guidance with consistency. You will support with a varied off-site activity routine, from traveling on trains to encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

You will be required to work on a rota basis which will include weekends, bank holidays, sleep-in duties and unsociable hours.

About you:

You will hold an NVQ level 2/Care Certificate (or equivalent qualification) or have an equivalent level of experience. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with customers, families, agencies, and other relevant professionals to maintain high quality care. You must have the ability to support individuals with complex behaviours and have a consistent approach.
