Your role:
We are transforming how we deliver HR & OD, reimagining our function to better support the organisation now and in the future. This team will play a critical role in driving organisational transformation, strengthening people management capability, and delivering a more consistent, accessible, and customer-focused experience. You will lead a team of HR Operational and OD colleagues, building their capability across the full breadth of HR & OD activity. You will be instrumental in embedding this joined-up approach, supporting continuous improvement, and enabling the successful delivery of a modern, aligned HR & OD service, including the development of a new single point of access.
About you:
You’ll be an experienced HR & OD professional with credibility advising on complex employee relations, alongside experience of delivering organisational development activity relating to areas such as engagement, learning, apprenticeships, wellbeing and/or inclusion. You will instinctively spot opportunities for improvement, challenge how we do things, and think differently to drive meaningful change. You’ll be comfortable influencing across all levels and working in fastpaced changing environments.

Working Arrangements
The contractual hours for this post will be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the role and the service. Work will be carried out across Council buildings and/or community venues across the borough.
It is our priority to ensure that the role is fulfilled effectively and while there is flexibility to work from home when service delivery allows, the expectation is that staff will attend the workplace for aminimum of two days per week. However, depending on service requirements, you may be required to workyour full contractual hours on siteat Council buildings and/or Community Venues.
