Your role:

The Early Intervention Service is a range of teams designed to maximise the independence, safety and wellbeing of children and adults, in line with Wigan Council’s Progress with Unity missions. This is achieved via the provision of equipment, rehabilitation, and adaptations. In this role you will enable and monitor delivery of a high-quality service to Wigan residents. You will use a range of quality assurance strategies including seeking out and acting on the voice of residents and staff; collating and analysing performance data; designing and streamlining operational processes and helping shape It systems within the Service. About you:

You will have a passion for improving people’s independence and quality of life. You will have excellent IT skills. You will have the ability to work in partnership and develop the trust, respect, and engagement of a broad spectrum of partners and colleagues. You will be creative and have excellent people, IT, digital and organisational skills and be able to develop and carry out action plans to drive improvement and underpin transformation. You will be a key member of a wider Adult Social Care management group responsible for the delivery of the Council vision, Progress with Unity.

About us:

The Progress with Unity plan is a place movement for change for the next decade, bringing a new era for Wigan Borough. It draws on the strengths of our individual organisations, recognising that together we can achieve much more for our communities by delivering on our 2 place missions; create fair opportunities for all children, families, residents and businesses and make our towns and neighbourhoods flourish for those who live and work in them.

The Early Intervention Service is a forward thinking, creative, supportive service encompassing a range of teams and roles skilled at promoting people’s wellbeing, safety, and independence. We recognise that our staff are our greatest asset, and we are dedicated to developing and enabling them to achieve their aspirations. We provide excellent opportunities for collaborative working with internal and external partners, comprehensive training and direct support and a varied and interesting caseload including services for both adult and children. Early Intervention is part the dynamic Adult Services Directorate and benefits from the excellent wider leadership and shared learning and opportunities.
