Your role:
This role provides ICT technical and digital support across the council, working closely with IT teams, the managed service provider, and software vendors.

You’ll support projects, promote correct IT processes, and ensure governance and security standards are followed. Responsibilities include helping transition new solutions into live service, monitoring support trends, raising awareness of issues, and contributing to change management as new infrastructure is introduced.

You will also develop system portfolios and assist subject matter experts, working flexibly across council sites as needed.

About you:
You need to be enthusiastic, an adaptable communicator with strong problem-solving skills and ownership of your work. You will collaborate confidently with internal and external services, work well under pressure, and manage your own workload effectively. A solid understanding of Microsoft 365 and wider Microsoft technologies is essential, along with excellent general IT skills. You should be focused, outcome driven, and committed to supporting the council’s values while delivering high quality IT service. Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive approach to service delivery and application support are key.
