About the role:
Are you an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We are looking for a confident HR Operations Officer to join our Recruitment team, providing essential support throughout the end-to-end hiring process.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will play a key part in delivering an efficient and compliant recruitment service. You will act as a first point of contact for hiring managers and candidates, supporting the coordination of recruitment activity, preparing adverts, and ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed accurately and on time.
You will help guide managers through recruitment processes, support onboarding from offer through to starting, and ensure all activity aligns with employment legislation and best practice. Working with sensitive data, you will maintain accurate records, uphold confidentiality, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for all candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end recruitment support, acting as a first point of contact for hiring managers and candidates.
- Coordinate recruitment activity, including preparing and posting job adverts and managing recruitment timelines.
- Support managers with shortlisting, interviews and use of recruitment systems and processes.
- Complete pre-employment checks such as right to work and DBS, ensuring full compliance with legislation and policy.
- Prepare and issue offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation, ensuring a smooth candidate journey.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and contribute to reporting, audits and continuous improvement activity.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, ideally within HR or recruitment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation.
- Good IT skills and experience using systems and databases.
- Ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and employment legislation principles.
- Educated to a good standard of numeracy and literacy (e.g. English and Maths), with a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) desirable.
