About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Place Business Support Team as a Business Support Team Leader.

Working closely with the Place Business Support Manager, you will help coordinate the delivery of efficient, high-quality business support services across the Place Directorate. The role is varied and rewarding, involving oversight of administrative processes, customer enquiries, financial transactions, performance information and service improvements that support the delivery of key council services.

You will work with a wide range of colleagues, partners and stakeholders to ensure services are responsive, customer-focused and delivered to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building effective working relationships and making a positive contribution to how services are delivered for residents, businesses and communities across Trafford.

About You

You will be an organised and proactive individual with experience working in a busy administrative or business support environment. You will have strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high levels of accuracy.

You will be confident using a range of ICT systems and handling information in line with data protection and confidentiality requirements. A customer-focused approach is essential, alongside the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, residents and partner organisations.

Experience of supervising or leading a team would be desirable but is not essential. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate initiative, support continuous improvement, and contribute positively to the development of the service. Most importantly, you will embody Trafford Council's EPIC values and be committed to delivering high-quality support services across the Place Directorate.
