Working Arrangement: 10.5 hours - Mondays 4.00pm 7.30pm, Thursday 4.00pm -7.30pm and Saturdays 9.00am 12.30 during term time.

About the Role
This role is for a committed and inspiring teacher to deliver individual/small group and upper string ( Violin and Viola) lessons to children aged 7-18 (school years 3-13) at our music centre during term time.
The successful candidate must be able to teach pupils from beginner to Grade 8 / Diploma on violin and viola, and they will join a fabulous, dedicated, and inspirational team who will support you and your professional development. They will be supported with resources and shadowing opportunities of other Trafford Music Service staff. Qualifications on violin or viola a minimum of Grade 8, is required to be shortlisted for this position. Candidates without specific training / qualifications on either Violin or Viola will not be considered.
The ability to teach another instrument, especially piano is desirable.

About You
Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning and improving the way you do things to ensure quality music provision for pupils.
You will have excellent organisational and ICT skills and an ability to work efficiently to deadlines. Excellent communication, planning and delivery is essential to this role, and above all else we want to recruit someone with a love for teaching children and inspiring the next generation of children to be musical.

Pay and Working Hours
This post is contracted on Teachers’ Pay and Conditions on the Unqualified Teacher pay scale 3-6.
The working hours/days for this post are 3.5 hours on a Monday (4pm 730pm) ,3.5 hours on Thursdays (4pm - 7.30pm) and 3.5 hours on a Saturday ( 9am 12.30 ) during term time totalling 10.5 hours per week. We welcome applications from candidates who wish to job-share these hours and can commit to part of the above days / times. Candidates should be sure they can commit to teaching during term time before applying. We are committed to providing continuity for our pupils and the highest level of instrumental tutoring. Tutors are employed on Teachers’ pay and conditions and therefore have the school holidays off and all tutors are expected to fully commit to all term dates.
An enhanced DBS check with children barred list check will be required.
