We are recruiting for an Assistant Preparing for Adult Officer to join our Special Educational Needs Service, within Children's Services.

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 14 hours per week (split across 2 full days)

The SEND Preparing for Adulthood team is responsible for amending and maintaining EHC plans and coordinating the educational placements of young people with SEND.

We are seeking a highly motivated assistant SEND Preparing for Adulthood Officer to support the EHCP processes. They will also be required to deal effectively with queries from schools, colleges, training providers, supported employment providers and parents/carers about the progress of SEND Statutory Annual Review processes. Experience of liaising with children/young people, families and professionals, together with experience of SEN processes and legislation is essential. The ability to use the Synergy education management software is desirable.
