Mobile Team Leader – Estate Services
We are looking for a Mobile Team Leader to join our Estate Services Team within the Housing & Regeneration Directorate.
The role is responsible for leading a team of Mobile Team Operatives and ensuring the efficient delivery of bulk waste removal, caretaking support and related estate services across the borough.

This is a hands-on leadership role covering multiple locations, suited to someone organised, proactive and able to support their team while maintaining high service standards.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support a team of Mobile Team Operatives, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
- Plan and coordinate daily operations, allocating work and responding to changing priorities, emergencies and service demands.
- Carry out site visits and inspections to monitor service delivery, identify issues and take appropriate action.
- Manage day-to-day team matters, including performance, attendance, development and staff wellbeing.
- Investigate operational issues and respond to service requests and complaints, helping to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment and resources are used safely, maintained properly and available to support service delivery.
- Support operational delivery where required, including assisting with bulk waste removal and other estate services activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience of supervising and coordinating an operational team or service.
- Experience of planning workloads and responding to changing service demands and priorities.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements, risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Experience of managing performance, attendance or staff development.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Experience of using computers and systems to support service delivery and record keeping.
- A reliable and positive approach with the ability to lead by example and support a high-performing team.
- A full UK driving licence, with the ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
A basic DBS check is required for this role.
