Finance Officer Client Affairs

We are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join our busy Client Financial Affairs Team.
If you are passionate about assisting client's to manage their finances, act in their best interests and supporting their independence, committed to achieving positive outcomes, and bring some practical experience, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, you will:

Manage a caseload of client's property and financial affairs, making applications to the DWP and Court of Protection

Be responsible of ensuring that the client receives the correct benefits and their day to day needs are met

Act in the client's best interests, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act and providing Annual Accounts to the Office of the Public Guardian

Have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Working knowledge of dealing with the DWP across all benefits, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit

Day to day experience of managing client's finances

Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
