In a challenging field, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Housing Options team at Thanet District Council.
We are looking to recruit a full time position on a permanent basis. The role will be part of the triage system within Housing Options. You will be managing incoming calls, referrals and applications of those who are at risk of homelessness or homeless. Providing initial housing advice, guidance and support to those households. You will be conducting assessments to establish homelessness and collating information needed to pass on to a case officer.
You will have first-class written, oral and numerical skills. You will also be adept at establishing a strong network who will raise the profile of this work around the district. You will also be able to work with great confidentiality, handling sensitive and sometimes distressing information.
