Tendring District Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our forward‑thinking Finance & IT Directorate as a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprentice.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, continuous learning, and contributing to the improvement of public services through technology.

As a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprentice, you will take a role in the evolution, development, specification, testing, and first‑ and second‑line support of the Council’s diverse finance and digital services. This includes working extensively with the Microsoft product suite, as well as supporting a range of local government legacy systems, hybrid private and public cloud environments, personal devices, and underlying infrastructure.

You’re likely to find yourself providing first‑ and second‑line technical support, helping resolve issues across devices, systems, and applications. Setting up and configuring new or replacement hardware (PCs, tablets, smartphones) and providing technical support to the Digital & Assurance Services Management Team during commercial projects and procurements. The role also involves researching, evaluating, and testing emerging technologies.
