Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Sheltered Housing Team, supporting the wellbeing of our tenants and helping them maintain their independence through a person-centred support planning process. The successful candidate will lead regular resident meetings and proactively work with relevant agencies to support residents’ wellbeing, including the NHS, GPs, Mental Health Services, Adult Social Care, and relatives.

This is a varied role that will involve visiting tenants across the nine sheltered housing schemes, supporting residents as they settle in and helping them to sustain their tenancy. You will also be expected to promote the use of assistive technology where appropriate and support sheltered tenants in using the alarm call service.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be well organised, manage their time effectively, and be able to work flexibly while prioritising a varied workload. A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle during working hours are essential for this role.
