Tendring District Council is offering an excellent opportunity for an aspiring property professional to join our Property & Projects team as a Trainee Assets Surveyor. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in surveying, gaining hands on experience while supporting the management of the Council’s diverse property portfolio. Working alongside colleagues of all levels, you will contribute to the effective stewardship of land and property assets, helping to deliver a high quality service to colleagues, Members and the public.
In this role, you will support the maintenance and development of the Council’s property records, including lease and income registers, while ensuring accurate data is recorded and securely stored. You will assist with property inspections, research ownership queries, liaise with the Land Registry and external organisations and help manage transactions such as lettings, acquisitions and disposals. This is a varied position that offers exposure to a wide range of professional activities within property and asset management.
You will also provide advice and support to internal departments and stakeholders, contributing to informed decision making around the Council’s property assets. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to build effective working relationships.
