The Role
HR/OD Business Partner Shape Strategy, Enable Change, Make a Lasting Impact
We’re looking for an accomplished and forwardthinking HR/OD professional to join our People and Workforce Development team as a strategic HR/OD Business Partner supporting Children’s and Education Services.
This is a highimpact role where you’ll work in close partnership with senior leaders to shape, influence and deliver workforce strategies that enable excellent services for our communities.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll bring insight, challenge and supporthelping leaders navigate complexity, drive transformation and build a highperforming, inclusive and resilient workforce.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, professional HR/OD team, working alongside fellow Business Partners and specialist colleagues. You’ll also lead and develop Assistant HR/OD Business Partners, contributing to a strong, supportive and highquality service offer.
What you’ll be doing
- Partnering with senior leaders to cocreate and deliver strategic people plans aligned to service and organisational priorities
- Leading and shaping complex organisational change, including transformation programmes, restructures and TUPE
- Acting as a credible and influential advisor, providing balanced challenge and solutionfocused support
- Enabling leaders to build engaged, highperforming teams through coaching, guidance and insight
- Contributing to the ongoing development of a modern, progressive HR/OD function
- Supporting the organisation to develop a flexible, inclusive and futureready workforce

About You
You’re an experienced HR/OD professional who brings credibility, insight and a collaborative approach to everything you do.
You’ll:
- Be confident operating at strategic level, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Bring a strong track record of leading complex change and transformation
- Demonstrate sound judgement, resilience and the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Be skilled in influencing, coaching and enabling others to succeed
- Apply a commercial and pragmatic mindset to delivering people solutions
- Have uptodate knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
- Hold a CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience)
