The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Graduate Marketing and Communications Officer to support the work of the central corporate communications team and family hubs team in promoting our family hub offer.
The role will use a variety of marketing and communications techniques with hands-on delivery to engage families and stakeholders effectively. This will include creating video content, social media, newsletter development, identifying opportunities for press releases and supporting events. You will capture stories of families and the benefit that attending sessions at family hubs has brought to them and their children. It will also tell good news stories of staff achievements in supporting families and any positive developments relating to Tameside’s family hubs.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a creative and hard-working team who tell the stories of the experiences of our employees and residents from their view and voice.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong written and verbal communication skills who can produce clear, engaging content for a range of audiences and platforms. A key skill will be the ability to generate fresh ideas for campaigns and storytelling that resonate with our local communities.
A recent degree or equivelent and a genuine interest in local government and public service are essential. We are also looking for someone that takes initiative, shows curiosity, and is eager to learn and grow. We need a person who is well organised and works well with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
