The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Data Analyst to join our Children’s Data & Intelligence Team to support evidence-based decision-making across key service areas. This role will involve collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to provide insights that enhance outcomes for children and families as well as combining intelligence from multiple sources and leading on key projects and initiatives, relating complex insights to senior leaders and mentoring and support with developing analysts within the team.

About You

You will be an experienced data analyst with strong experience and knowledge of Children’s Services intelligence, reporting and statutory requirements. You will understand case management systems with a particular focus on Early Help and Family Help.

You will have experience of working with fellow analysts and delivering complex insights in a clear and actionable format to a wide audience.

If you’ve got knowledge of SQL, Python or R, or have worked with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau that’s great, but subject knowledge, ability and attitude are the most important aspects of the role we’ll make sure you have access to the right opportunities to develop on the technical side.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience of developing data products, dashboards and reports that provide key detail and insight to the services you have supported.

You will have excellent organisational and people management skills, an ability to plan and deliver timely outcomes whilst dealing with multiple enquiries and tasks, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent numerical skills, an ability to conduct data and systems analysis and be capable of building relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
