About the role:

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our Contracts team on a part-time basis to provide administrative and technical support to the Council contracts. 

As a Contracts and Resources Admin Officer, you will be providing technical advice in relation to the waste and recycling, street cleansing and public convenience contracts. You will support the contract management process by providing high-quality administrative support, help manage contract-related information and data, and assist with initiatives that contribute to improving local environmental services.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries and correspondence by phone, email and letter.
  • Updating and maintaining cases on the Uniform case management system.
  • Creating, updating and maintaining a range of databases and records.
  • Retrieving, compiling and analysing data, identifying trends and highlighting potential issues for further investigation.
  • Assisting with the organisation of deep cleans, community litter picks, and waste and recycling promotions.
  • Taking minutes, and providing administrative support for contract and other service meetings.
  • Populating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and printing maps and related information for the team.

This is a full-time position working 34 hours per week on a permanent basis. This role offers the benefit of hybrid working, combining office-based working with home working, according to business needs.

About You:

You will be an organised and proactive administrator with good attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage a busy workload.

You will have good working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages and experience of writing correspondence of varying forms, eg letters/emails. You will have excellent communication skills and be at ease speaking to customers on the telephone. Contracts experience in a local government setting would be an advantage, but not essential.

Selection Process:
