About the Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive and community-focused Community & Partnerships Assistant to join our Community and Partnerships Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of projects, partnerships and grant programmes that make a real difference to local communities. You will provide vital administrative and coordination support, helping the team work efficiently while ensuring residents, community groups and partner organisations receive a high-quality service.

Working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, you will help coordinate activities, maintain project and grant records, organise meetings, monitor progress and support effective communication across a range of community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Provide effective administrative support to the Community and Partnerships Team, ensuring day-to-day activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with agreed processes.
  • Respond to enquiries from residents, community groups and partner organisations, providing clear information and ensuring requests are directed appropriately.
  • Administer grant programmes, including processing applications, maintaining records, coordinating payments and ensuring compliance with governance and audit requirements.
  • Monitor project and grant activity, including milestones, budgets and outcomes, maintaining accurate tracking systems and preparing regular progress updates.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and multi-agency activities, including arranging logistics, preparing documentation, recording actions and supporting follow-up activity.
  • Track partner and internal actions, ensuring commitments, decisions and tasks are recorded and progressed within agreed timescales.

This is a full time role working 34 hours per week on a permanent contract. This role offers the benefit of hybrid working, combining the flexibility to work from home with office-based working on a business needs basis.

About You

You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) and possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. You will be an effective communicator, able to tailor your approach to different audiences while building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and residents

You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, enabling you to manage competing priorities effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Selection Process

Following the submission of your application form, it will be reviewed by the recruiting manager. Those that are successful in securing an interview can expect a job specific interview assessment, followed by an interview.
