About the Role and our Ideal Candidate - You will line manage staff within the Youth Justice team - You will liaise with court, police and other professionals about suitable orders and programmes for children with a good knowledge of pre and post court options.- You will quality assure assessments and Intervention plans for post court and pre court workers, ensuring they are child first, victim focused and get the best outcomes for the child.- You will chair risk panels and other panels, meetings as needed for children - You will ensure specialist workers support the case managers in their role coordinating victim and reparation work as needed About youWe are looking ideally for a Qualified social worker who has good knowledge and experience of line managing in a Youth Justice setting. You may have line management experience elsewhere but have worked within a Youth Justice service for a number of years. We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven and enthusiastic to improve the outcomes for children, recognising disproportionality and being creative in how we engage with our most vulnerable children. You will be supportive of staff as a line manager, looking to get the best out of staff and develop their skills. About Us We are looking for a social work qualified Youth Justice Team managers for an initial 1 years fixed term role. You will work within a vibrant, multi agency team line managing case managers who oversee pre and post court work. The service sits alongside the Adolescent team, schools team and community safety and is based in Carshalton. The service works with children and families in a child first and trauma informed way to improve outcomes for them and communities. The service has pre and post court case managers and also has the benefit of specialist CAMHS worker, Education Lead, Speech and Language Therapist, School nurse and substance misuse worker which enables wrap around support for the children we support. There is an embedded and holistic training programme for all staff and regular personal and group supervisions offered understanding the complex and challenges of the roles.
