At SHP our strength and depth lies primarily in the knowledge, experience and commitment of our colleagues; to deliver excellent services to residents. As a landlord organisation this means enabling families and households to be safe in their homes, sustain their tenancy and lead healthy and rewarding lives. About the Role and our Ideal Candidate An independent and detail-oriented professional, you will bring operational autonomy and advanced data mastery to track, reconcile, and report on multi-million-pound work programmes. You will have a proven track record of working within a regulated housing or building services environment, maintaining a firm grasp of the statutory and legal requirements for compliance workstreams. It is desirable for you to possess a qualification in a related M&E, Compliance, or Health & Safety area, along with an understanding and knowledge of asbestos, gas, electric, fire safety, or legionella compliance. You must be passionate about excellent customer service, acting as the primary face of compliance during resident engagement days, site visits, and emergency service outages. You will be an excellent communicator, able to handle challenging conversations, resolve complex safety-related CRM queries from residents and leaseholders, and use high-level influence to persuade non-compliant individuals. With an understanding of how compliance activities span across multiple functions, you will work closely with Legal, Housing Management, and Asset teams, partnering with Social Services to support vulnerable tenants and resolve tenancy breaches that impede essential safety works.Commercially minded but focused on resident safety, you will execute the end-to-end financial cycle with total rigour, including raising high-volume Purchase Orders and approving invoices in line with financial regulations and internal audit standards. You will possess the agility to simultaneously manage long-term statutory safety cycles alongside immediate, reactive demands, such as emergency service outages, strict legal court deadlines, and urgent data requests from regulators, without compromising statutory oversight. A valid driving licence, access to your own car for business use, and the flexibility to adjust to mobile working and evening/weekend demands as required are essential for this role. About Us We are looking for a skilled professional to lead the organisation's statutory access and enforcement framework, reporting to the Compliance Contract Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including ensuring 100% compliance across the "Big 6" workstreams, executing robust "No Access" procedures, and working alongside legal advisors to prepare witness statements and legal evidence packs for court injunctions. You will act as the critical gatekeeper for compliance data, reconciling vast work programmes against actual site completions and validating the accuracy of safety certifications (such as LGSRs and EICRs) before they are uploaded into the Asset Management System (NEC/Northgate). Meticulously managing the "Golden Thread" of data, you will directly support Compliance Contract Managers by producing performance packs, recording technical minutes, and proactively holding contractors to account for overdue remedial works to prevent statutory failure.
