About the Role and our Ideal Candidate We are seeking an experienced and proactive Brokerage Team Leader to join our Operational Commissioning Brokerage Team. This is a front-line service delivery role responsible for ensuring residents with support needs and carers receive the highest quality care and support arrangements. You will be critical in delivering outcomes for our customers and ensuring best value for the CouncilAs a Brokerage Team Leader, you will balance leadership, service delivery, and financial accountability:Team Leadership: Undertake the day-to-day supervision, planning, and organisation of a small team, motivating and supporting staff, and conducting regular one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals. You will also deputise for the Service Manager when required.Service & Caseload Management: Manage a personal caseload and deliver service activities within agreed standards. You will be responsible for identifying and securing appropriate placements and support services, utilising tools like CareCubed where appropriate.Negotiation & Commissioning: Regularly negotiate all aspects of service arrangements, including fees and start dates for home care, placements, day support, and transport, to ensure best use of resources. This includes ensuring services are commissioned or brokered within agreed budgets and obtaining the best value for the Council.Compliance & Improvement: Oversee and ensure compliance with commercial frameworks or block contracts.
