About the Team
Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPA) is a fast-paced and supportive service at the front door of children’s services in Surrey. The team plays a vital role in making sure children and families receive timely help, protection and support. You will be joining experienced practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds who work collaboratively, share knowledge and support one another to understand what children and families need and identify the right support with them.
About the Role
You will work as part of a well-supported and well-established multi-disciplinary service, working alongside colleagues and partners to help children and families receive the right support at the right time.
You will receive regular guidance and support, including case discussion, reflective supervision and advice from colleagues with a wide range of experience and specialisms.
The role involves considering contacts received by CSPA, including speaking with parents, carers, referrers and children wherever possible. You will gather and review relevant information, undertake proportionate checks with partner agencies, and help identify the most appropriate level of need and response with children and families.
You will also support families to access information, advice and support where this is the right response. Where additional safeguarding action is needed, you will work with managers and colleagues to ensure this is considered and progressed in a timely way.
