We are dedicated to supporting Surrey’s most vulnerable children and young people, working with theories of trauma, attachment and loss, alongside restorative practices. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing, supervising and supporting foster carers who provide love and support to children and young people in Surrey. Your key responsibilities as a Supervising Social Worker will include: Completing initial visits and Form F assessments Delivering training Organising and attending recruitment events Carrying out general tasks within the wider fostering team Your Application In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours : Qualified Social Work degree, SWE registration and experience of working with children and young people Comprehensive knowledge of legislation relating to fostering and Looked after Children Experience of establishing and nurturing multi-agency relationships Ability to work directly with the wider public, foster carers and children Ability to produce clear, analytical assessments Self-motivated and accustomed to working to deadlines Good IT skills Surrey has both urban and rural areas and Social Workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK, access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
