This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in one of the most significant reforms to children's services in a generation. As part of Surrey's transformation journey, you will help shape and deliver programmes that strengthen family help services, support multi-agency working, improve outcomes for children and families, and ensure Surrey is at the forefront of national reform.
We support hybrid working with the right balance. We come together in person for two days per week on average (40% of the working week) and support working from home the rest of the time.

About The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex transformation projects and workstreams within Surrey's Families First Partnership Programme or SEND Reform Programme. Working alongside programme leaders, operational services and partner agencies, you will:
Lead projects from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation.
Develop and maintain project plans, governance arrangements and performance reporting.
Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change controls.
Work closely with service leaders and partners to scope projects and define successful outcomes.
Support service redesign and implementation activities across Children's Services and wider partnerships.
Present progress, recommendations and analysis to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
Ensure delivery of agreed outcomes within timescales, budget and quality expectations.
There may be line management responsibility for project managers, programme support staff or other resources assigned to projects.
Key priorities are expected to include:
Development of Family Help arrangements and integrated working models, or, delivery of SEND Reforms including the Experts at Hand model.
Embedding new approaches to early intervention and prevention.
Strengthening multi-agency partnerships and local delivery models.
Supporting practice, service and organisational transformation.
Delivering measurable benefits for children, families and communities.

Your Application
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our
behaviours

Significant experience delivering complex transformation projects or programmes.
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
Strong project management expertise, including governance, planning, risk and benefits management.
Experience of working across organisational boundaries and complex partnerships.
Ability to analyse information, solve problems and provide practical recommendations.
Project or programme management qualifications such as Prince2, MSP, APM or equivalent experience.
Understanding of public sector transformation, children's services or related environments is desirable.
