About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Systems Development, Training and Support team as a
Systems Development & Training Officer
playing a key role in supporting the rollout of systems training linked to the Families First Partnership Programme.
Working across Children, Families and Lifelong Learning, you will help colleagues develop the skills and confidence needed to use systems effectively, ensuring they can make the most of new functionality and ways of working introduced through programme-led change. You will support the design, coordination and delivery of systems training for staff across the directorate, with a particular focus on changes arising from the Families First Partnership Programme. This will include developing training materials, facilitating learning sessions, responding to user queries and providing practical support to colleagues as they adapt to updated systems and processes.
Collaboration will be central to your success. You'll work closely with systems specialists, operational teams and programme colleagues to understand training requirements, shape learning solutions and support the successful adoption of system changes across services.
Over the course of this fixed-term opportunity, you will help strengthen systems training capacity and deliver accessible, consistent learning that supports confident system use. Your work will contribute to improved recording practices, high-quality data and effective information sharing, helping services operate efficiently and respond to the needs of children, young people and families.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others learn, is comfortable working with systems and processes, and wants to play a meaningful role in supporting a significant programme of change across Children's Services.

The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, responding flexibly to changing priorities and business needs.
An understanding of children's services, social care, local government and/or public services, with the ability to translate complex information into practical and accessible learning.
