This permanent role has a starting salary of £38,090 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.
This is a full-time position, although part-time applications would be considered.

Duty Coordinator
.
We support hybrid working with the right balance. The contractual base for this role is Guildford with the Area Team also covering Waverley and Surrey Heath.
The successful candidate would be expected to work in the office 2 days per week pro rata in the three offices. The Duty workers come together in person monthly for meetings and quarterly Area Team Meetings in addition.

About The Role
You will lead the smooth running of the duty function within the Area Team, working closely with the duty managers to ensure effective operations, prioritisation of tasks, risk management and safeguarding practices.
You will maintain close collaboration with colleagues in the Connect to Community service, Duty and the wider Area Team to guarantee the safe and seamless transfer of individuals who draw on support.
You will provide strong administrative and business leadership to the duty team, offering advice and guidance to colleagues and sharing knowledge across the team. A key part of your role will be planning, prioritising, risk managing and overseeing the triage, delegation, and escalation of incoming enquiries for both new and existing clients with manager oversight.
Monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators will be essential to support the team’s ongoing development and performance. Flexibility is important, as you may occasionally work within specialist teams or acute hospital settings to meet the operational needs of the wider service and undertake duty tasks to support the Area Team.
Building effective relationships will be central to your success, as you liaise with internal departments, partner organisations, and service users to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. Finally, you will ensure that statutory duties relating to Safeguarding are discharged effectively and responsibly.
Your Application
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our
behaviours

Advanced vocational qualification at level 4 or significant on-the-job experience
Experience in a health or social care setting, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
Practical knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Care Act, Mental Capacity Act) and the ability to apply this in practice.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
Competence in IT tools, including MS Office and database management systems.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments will be made for individuals with a disability).
