We have a great opportunity to join our in-house Supported Living and Short Breaks Service as a Team Manager, based in Guildford. The Service provides support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs across a number of supported living settings and respite services. As the CQC Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the service operates in line with regulatory standards, legislation and best practice. You will lead the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred support, ensuring the needs, wellbeing and outcomes of the people who use the service remain at the heart of all decision-making. You will also ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and that risks are managed appropriately to protect vulnerable adults. The role involves leading and developing a multidisciplinary workforce, creating a positive, inclusive and empowering environment where staff can thrive. You will oversee recruitment, supervision, performance management, training and development, while building strong relationships with families, carers, partner organisations and external agencies to support the delivery of high-quality services and positive outcomes. You will manage resources, budgets, staffing levels and service performance to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. By monitoring quality, driving continuous improvement and leading service development initiatives, you will help enhance outcomes, strengthen workforce effectiveness and support long-term sustainability. You will also maintain accurate records and reporting, respond to operational issues and emergencies, and participate in out-of-hours management arrangements to ensure continuity of support. Shortlisting Criteria In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours : Significant experience of operational management within adult social care, residential care, or a health-related setting. Experience of leading, managing, coaching and developing staff to achieve high-quality service outcomes. Knowledge of relevant social care legislation, safeguarding requirements and CQC standards. Ability to manage budgets, staffing establishments, workforce deployment and operational resources effectively, using performance and financial information to support decision making and service improvement. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with service users, families and partner agencies. Competency in a range of IT systems and the ability to maintain accurate records and information. Willingness to work flexibly, including being available for operational support outside normal working hours and travelling within the county as required. Surrey has both urban and rural areas and social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
