The starting salary for this role is £19,045 per annum, based on an 18-hour working week. We are excited to be hiring a Finance Advisor to our Cost Assurance and Resource Management team. We support hybrid working, offering a balance between office and home working. For this part-time role, you would typically be expected to work from the office around one day per week, with the remainder worked from home. The current base is our office in Dorking. About The Role In this role, you will support the Area Finance Manager in delivering a comprehensive financial management service, working closely with colleagues across operational services and central finance to ensure effective budget management and accurate financial reporting. You will manage day-to-day financial activities, including updating financial database supporting budget monitoring and forecasting, investigating variances, and responding to queries. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment, requiring you to balance routine tasks with ad hoc work to support the management of large and complex social care budgets. You will also have line management responsibility for a small number of colleagues, providing supervision and support to promote their development and ensure high-quality, effective practice.
