The hourly rate for this annualised hours, permanent position is £18.77 per hour (inclusive of 15% leave allowance). This equates to an annual salary of £6,532 per annum for working 400 hours per year, or £9,798 per annum for working 600 hours per year. Working hours can be discussed following application.

We are excited to be recruiting a Cycling Assurer Instructor to join our fantastic Cycle Training team. This role is Surreywide based at required school training locations. Observations are made on site, and reports can be compiled at home or in the office.

About the Role
The cycle training team comprises of 80 Instructors. We aim to make an IQA visit to each Instructor at least once per year. The assurer can help to provide support to individuals after their IQA if this is identified as a need. The Assurer also helps the induction of new Instructors through mentoring and shadowing.
Key duties of the Cycling Assurer Instructor include:
Undertake a programme of observing Instructors delivering training.
Assess Instructor delivery against national standards and our supplementary standards.
Liaise with Instructors before visiting them.
Report on your findings, including any further mentoring you suggest and any feedback from Instructors.
Support new Instructors through their induction, including mentoring, shadowing and pre-Post Course Assessment visits.
Attend regular planning meetings with your Cycle Training Supervisor.
Co-instruct on Bikeability courses, for a limited number of times per year, in order to maintain your practice.
You will share visits with our other Cycling Assurer Instructor, agreeing with your Supervisor which visits will be on your schedule. Mostly, but not always, you will be scheduled to arrive for your first visit for 10:30 or after to allow for longer travel distances.
You need to be prepared undertake further training as required for your role, such as obtaining the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
