Your Role
Are you passionate about supporting adults to live independently, safely and well within their own homes and communities?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior TEC and Assessment Officer to join our ARCH Team - A close, friendly team comprised of Social Workers & Social Care Officers.
The ARCH Team plays an important role in supporting people to maximise their independence through Technology Enabled Care (TEC), strengths-based assessment and innovative approaches to care and support.
As a Senior TEC and Assessment Officer, you will undertake holistic assessments, identify people's strengths, needs, wishes and desired outcomes, and explore how TEC and other community-based solutions can support them to achieve greater independence.
You will work closely with individuals, families, colleagues and partner agencies to identify creative and proportionate solutions, ensuring that technology is considered as part of a wider strengths-based approach rather than simply as a response to risk.
You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of professional practice. You will work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing your specialist knowledge and expertise to support positive outcomes.
The role will also provide opportunities to contribute to service development, practice improvement and the wider development of Technology Enabled Care, supporting colleagues to understand how technology can complement traditional care and support.
About You
You will have:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Technology Enabled Care and its role in promoting independence, prevention and wellbeing.
- Experience of undertaking holistic assessments and identifying creative, proportionate and person-centred solutions
- Strong assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consider complex situations and identify appropriate interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships with people, families, professionals and partner organisations.
- The ability to work confidently independently and as part of an MDT.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising and managing competing demands.
- A commitment to strengths-based and person-centred practice, promoting choice, control, independence and positive risk-taking.
- An understanding of relevant adult social care legislation, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- The confidence to provide advice, share your knowledge and support colleagues in developing their understanding and use of TEC.
- Good digital skills and the ability to embrace new and emerging technologies.
- A proactive approach to service development and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and make best use of available resources.
- Professional curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to make evidence-informed decisions.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and keeping your knowledge and practice up to date.
Most importantly, you will be someone who puts people at the heart of what you do, is open to new ideas and is passionate about finding different ways to help people achieve the outcomes that matter to them.
About Us
We offer:
- Flexible and Hybrid working to support a healthy work life balance, where the role allows
- Generous annual leave: enjoy a competitive annual leave package with additional leave linked to length of service and opportunities to purchase extra annual leave.
- The opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative service at the forefront of Technology Enabled Care.
- A varied role where no two days are the same.
- The opportunity to work alongside a range of professionals within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Opportunities to develop your specialist knowledge and skills in TEC, assessment and strengths-based practice.
- Support to undertake relevant learning, development and training.
- Opportunities to contribute to service development and improvement projects.
- A supportive team environment where colleagues share knowledge, experience and good practice.
- The opportunity to make a real and measurable difference to people's independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
- A role where your creativity and ideas are encouraged and valued.
