Your Role
Join our friendly Children’s Services finance team and play an important role in helping our services run smoothly. You will provide effective financial administration and support on-site in our Children’s Homes and wider service areas, working closely with colleagues to ensure processes are accurate, well managed and in line with relevant financial procedures, controls and statutory requirements.
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual who can stay calm when priorities change and communicate clearly with service users, colleagues and professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience of providing administrative and financial support, handling confidential information with care, and delivering helpful customer service in a busy environment. You will be confident using Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint, willing to learn in-house systems, and comfortable working with data. With strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines, you will bring a flexible, positive approach and work well with others to get things done.
About Us
We currently offer the opportunity for hybrid working, and the successful candidate will work from home as well as in the office.
We provide regular supervision, access to training and development opportunities and work in a supportive culture where we are ambitious about delivering excellent practice and supporting you to be the very best you can be.
At Stockport Council we are one ambitious team on a mission to create opportunities for everyone who lives, works and spends time in the borough.
