You will provide comprehensive administrative assistance, maintain accurate records, manage correspondence, and support the smooth delivery of business processes across the team.
Key responsibilities include data entry, document production, processing statutory paperwork, monitoring shared inboxes, arranging meetings, taking notes, and updating case management systems. You will be a key point of contact for parents, schools, professionals, and partner agencies, handling enquiries professionally while supporting the tracking of statutory deadlines and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused individual who shares Stockport Council's values of putting people first, working collaboratively, driving continuous improvement, and treating others with respect. You will have experience providing administrative support, handling confidential information, and delivering excellent customer service in a busy environment.
The ideal candidate will be confident using Microsoft Office applications, with strong data entry, communication, and organisational skills. You will be able to prioritise competing demands, follow established procedures, and work effectively with colleagues and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines, along with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
