Your Role
We are looking for a highly motivated paralegal to assist our very busy Litigation Team with the work we undertake for the council’s Arms’ Length Management company, Stockport Homes Ltd, in particular the preparation of claims for possession. This is to support both housing officers and the litigation team with an increase in demand.
Your role will include liaising with housing officers, gathering accurate information, drafting witness statements and collating documents, drafting and preparing court forms and updating the case management system.
You may also be undertaking legal research and providing briefing notes to the team.
You will work within a friendly and collaborative team of ten colleagues, in a supportive environment where your professional development will be nurtured and appreciated.
You will be an integral part of our award-winning Legal Team which is made up of up 50 colleagues across five different legal sub-teams, each delivering their own area of expertise.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a desire to learn and develop at pace who will want to work to and support our values. This role will be very hands on and will allow you to gain invaluable and varied experience within a large organisation, receiving a high level of support and development whilst being autonomous with some day-to-day tasks.
