Your Role

Stockport is the place to be, with a thriving cultural and business heartbeat. Our libraries are a focal point for this culture and a key asset to our residents and partners. An opportunity has arisen to support the shaping of our library service. The Neighbourhood Library Officer will work closely with a Neighbourhood Library Manager to ensure our libraries reflect a modern twenty-first century service, including supporting individual staff teams to maintain the library.

About You

We are looking for passionate, driven individuals who can work on their own initiative or as part of a team. You must be an excellent communicator who enjoys working with others and happy to support a changing work-place. We are looking for individuals with experience of working in an excellent resident focused business environment.

Libraries are at the forefront of supporting our libraries to be connected and knowledgeable. We are a free place residents can spend time without challenge or requirement to purchase anything! All our Libraries are designated Live Well spaces and are local hubs for face-to-face help and information from health and wellbeing to money, family life and community support working alongside Public Health, Adult Social Care and other health partners So come and join the team!
