Your Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our learning team, working as a Museum Assistant in our historic venues to deliver engaging learning sessions.
The main responsibility of the role is to deliver learning sessions to schools; often in role and in period costume. Post holders will be also required to assist with setting up for sessions, preparing and maintaining resources and to undertake admin duties.
You will deliver a variety of learning sessions across our sites including ‘Evacuees Experience’, ‘Fantastic Hats’ and ‘Great Fire of London’.

We are seeking experienced and creative people to join our team and help our service maintain its excellent reputation. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working with children and sharing history with them.

Stockport Museums operate Stockport Air Raid Shelters, Bramall Hall, Hat Works, Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery, Staircase House and Stockport Museum. This role provides the chance to work regularly at four of these amazing sites and share them with school children from all over Greater Manchester and beyond.
