Your Role

This role is for a Business Support Assistant working within our Equipment, Aids and Adaptations team (EAAT) within adult social care. The EAAT service support service users within our community by ensuring they have any equipment and adaptations in place in their homes to support their mobility and independence. These adaptations include minor adaptations such as handrails to major adaptations such as stair lifts.

Key activities:

  • Receiving and inputting EAAT online referrals into the adult social care case management system
  • Receiving fast track referrals from EAAT Triage and sending to our Handy person service, Stockport homes or housing association depending on the property
  • Updating information when HPS and concept reports are sent through
  • Confidently handle inbound and outbound calls, ensuring a professional and friendly customer experience at all times
  • Creating purchase orders when requested by service managers
  • Monitoring several shared inboxes
  • Sending waiting list letters to EAAT and Sensory service users
  • Creating and sending CVI badges with welcome packs
  • Receiving and processing documentation and data, including sensitive and confidential information; and keeping information safe and records up to date.

About You

A commitment to providing a high standard of customer service with previous experience of dealing with customers, strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload and work to tight deadlines. You should be computer literate and be confident in working with standard office IT applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. You will be expected to learn how to navigate in-house ICT systems to work with data and information; and use other applications to support services delivered virtually.
