In June 2023, Leisure Services transferred to full council management. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a new future for leisure services in Southwark.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Fitness Professional who will help us to deliver our fitness product to our residents, members and visitors at the centres.

What You'll Be Doing

Your Role

  1. Work collaboratively with the Service Membership Manager to identify and
    implement ways that the customer experience can be improved, to ensure
    satisfaction and build customer loyalty and improve retention at their centre. Contributing to the development of the vision for the operation and delivery of the highest possible standards of service.
  2. To ensure the facility and colleagues provide a quality customer experience.
    Responsible for delivering the Southwark Leisure sales strategy, set by the Service membership manager, that enables the centre responsible for achieve their sales and data KPI’s.
  3. Responsible for hitting your centre’s targets and understand your centre’s business
    objectives, achieve your individual productivity and sales targets, inspect, monitor and review the sales process to ensure targets are met, understand the categories and volumes of membership sales required to achieve your monthly targets given you by your Service Membership Manager.
  4. Ensure that there is a monthly plan in place in order to hit your centre’s targets to
    include appropriate marketing, generation of leads, resource and productivity

About You

  1. Experience working in a customer facing environment, providing the highest levels of customer care
  2. Ability to follow emergency procedures and make sound judgements in potentially difficult or stressful situations.
  3. Experience promoting or selling memberships, products, or services within a leisure, fitness, or similar customer-service environment.
