What You'll Be Doing
What We're Looking For
You should be familiar with and adhere to the principles of the GDPR, Human Rights Act, RIPA, Freedom of Information Act and knowledge of Common Laws that governs the use of public sector CCTV.
You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable using radio communications equipment.
Due to the nature of the post candidates are not entitled to withhold information regarding convictions by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, 1974 (Exceptions) Order, 1975 as amended, pursuant to Section 4 of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Successful candidates also require security clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS, formerly CRB) and a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) police check, this will be carried out at provisional offer stage clearance will need to be gained prior to contract issue. Future loss of this clearance will lead to removal from the CCTV control room pending appeal, and will lead to loss of the position if clearance is not re-instated.
