Assistant Officer – Home Ownership Service

The Home Ownership & Revenues Unit is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Assistant to help deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service to customers and service partners across a range of specialist work areas.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the team in the following areas:
Right to Buy (RTB)
- Assisting with the administration and loading of Right to Buy applications in accordance with statutory legislation and timescales.
- Processing Deed of Covenant forms and supporting associated administrative functions.
Leasehold Management
- Assisting in the delivery of leasehold management services for properties sold under the Right to Buy scheme.
- Supporting the ongoing management of leaseholder accounts and enquiries.
District Heating
- Assisting HORU officers in the management of customer accounts.
- Raising invoices, monitoring customer usage, and supporting the administration of district heating services.
Business Management & Revenues
- Providing a range of business management support services to Housing teams across the Place Portfolio.
- Raising invoices for sundry debts relating to rechargeable repairs and other housing-related services.
About You
You will:
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use existing spreadsheets and create new ones to analyse and interrogate large datasets.
- Be a customer-focused team player with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Be adaptable and able to work across a variety of service areas.
- Have experience of working accurately with data and administrative processes.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
