A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our repairs Team as a Team Leader.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of property repairs, ensuring that all works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will lead by example, championing a culture of safety and accountability while supporting your team to meet operational targets. You will be expected manage team of responsive & project type works of varying levels across the housing repairs sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • The overseeing and line management of an in-house operational team & contractors
  • Accurately measure & order materials, including bespoke items, such as. doors/windows.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and internal safety protocols, including pre-start risk assessments.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
  • Support the development and training of team members in safe working practices.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely completion of works.
  • Monitor performance, quality, and safety metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Carry out 1-2-1’s & personal development reviews.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in property repairs or maintenance, ideally within social housing.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to safety and compliance.
  • Good time management & ability to work both within a wider repairs team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship and service.
  • Must hold all valid mandatory training (working at height, Asbestos awareness, Manual handling) or committed to obtaining them at the earliest opportunity.
  • Must hold a valid U.K driving license.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
