Are you an experienced people manager with a passion for delivering excellent housing services and building strong communities?

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Ward Team Leader to lead a team of Neighbourhood Officers, delivering high-quality housing management services and supporting sustainable tenancies across our communities. The role involves driving staff performance, managing operational priorities, working closely with partners and elected members, and driving service improvements that make a real difference to residents.

As a Ward Team Leader, you will:

  • Line manage, motivate and develop a team of Neighbourhood Officers.
  • Drive performance and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Build effective partnerships with community groups, councillors and external agencies.
  • Contribute to service improvement, policy development and neighbourhood strategies.
  • Support the delivery of safe, inclusive and resilient communities.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience of leading and developing teams.
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage resources and performance effectively.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to maintaining high professional standards and delivering positive outcomes for customers.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
