Estates Surveyor

The Council has bold ambitions for Sheffield and the Council has commenced an exciting period of transformation. The Regeneration and Property Team are working on creating new neighbourhoods including residential and commercial, leisure and cultural development.
As a constructive member of the Regeneration and Property Team, you will be expected to;
- Provide professional, efficient and cost-effective estate management services and
- Provide practical advice to Council Directorates / Services on accommodation needs and the operational estate.
- Support delivery of the Council's vision for growth and achieve Directorate / Service targets enabling a positive impact for the people of Sheffield.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with;
- Preferably MRICS with post-qualification experience relevant to the role
- Expertise in commercial negotiations, asset appraisal and problem solving
- A robust understanding of property law and valuation practices
- The ability to analyse complex property issues and implement innovative solutions.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
