We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Monitoring Officer to join our team. In this role, you will monitor key project controls across Capital Projects and support the Quality and Service Support Manager in developing and maintaining management systems. You will also be responsible for survey procurement and managing the survey frameworks on behalf of the service. Your contributions will be vital to the development and positive promotion of the Capital Delivery Service.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Quality and Service Support Manager in risk management, information management, and customer relationship management.
Manage robust metrics and performance targets to ensure a culture of performance management.
Act as a key liaison contact with other services to request information in line with reporting deadlines.
Manage and operate the process for procuring survey contractors for the Council’s Capital Programme.
Maintain project databases, including contracts, contractor exposure information, and insurances.
Ensure all project contracts are managed with robust project controls, including contract performance and exposure databases, and contract KPIs.
Prepare and contribute to the development of contracts and contract management required to successfully deliver surveys.
Support project delivery in accordance with council financial, procurement, legal, gateway, and management procedures.
Manage a team of Service Support Officers

Person Specification:

Experience in supporting project management in a multidisciplinary, energy, or construction context.
Experience in managing or supporting the management of projects.
Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and delivering project objectives.
Commercial awareness and knowledge of project financial management and contract management procedures.
Excellent personal organisation and communication skills.
Highly skilled in the use of IT, including all Microsoft packages, with a willingness to train in new systems.
A qualification (e.g., HND or Prince 2) in an associated discipline or suitable alternative experience, with a willingness to undertake basic Project Management training.
