We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Tutor – Vocational Programmes to play a key role in leading and quality assuring our vocational offer for High Needs learners.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your vocational expertise, leadership skills and commitment to inclusive education & teaching in a role that makes a genuine difference every day.

As Lead Tutor, you will provide leadership and support across a range of vocational curriculum areas, including Digital Media, Introduction to Creative Industries, Hospitality and Catering, and Multi-Trades.

A key aspect of the role will be undertaking internal moderation and verification activities, ensuring the quality, consistency and integrity of assessment practices and learner outcomes across the provision.

Working closely with Tutors, Lead Tutors and curriculum teams, you will drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, support staff development, and ensure programmes meet the needs and aspirations of learners with High Needs.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
