Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you will use technology to help ensure traffic regulations are enforced fairly and consistently. Your work will contribute directly to improving road safety, maintaining traffic flow and supporting Sheffield's environmental ambitions.

You will be responsible for reviewing and assessing evidence, processing enforcement cases, supporting investigations and responding to customer enquiries.

You will work with a range of specialist enforcement systems and technologies, including Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), while ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with legislation, procedures and data protection requirements.

As an ANPR Enforcement Reviewer you will:

  • Review and assess CCTV footage, images and evidence relating to parking, bus lane and moving traffic contraventions.
  • Process enforcement cases through the council's specialist ANPR enforcement systems.
  • Support Sheffield's Clean Air Zone enforcement activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and case information for Blue Badge misuse cases.
  • Respond professionally to customer enquiries received through a variety of channels.
  • Work with both generic and specialist software systems.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team delivering a vital frontline service.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent attention to detail and can make accurate decisions based on evidence.
  • Is comfortable working with computers and learning new software systems.
  • Has strong organisational skills and can manage a busy workload.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Previous experience in administration, customer service, enforcement, processing work or data review would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

We offer comprehensive training, ongoing support and flexible working arrangements to help you succeed in the role.

This role offers a blend of office-based and home-based working, supporting both service requirements and work-life balance.

Home working requires access to a reliable internet connection. All necessary IT equipment will be supplied.

To apply, please review the Person Specification and explain how your skills, knowledge and experience meet the requirements of the role.
