The Autism Social Communication Education and Training Service (ASCETS) part of Sheffield City Council’s SEND Department, is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed, and experienced SEND teacher seeking a new challenge.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with strong knowledge and practical experience of SEND theory and practice. You will bring substantial experience of a SENDCo role across a range of educational phases along with a proven ability to embed neuro-affirming approaches into teaching and learning.

A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, alongside experience of applying it in practice, is essential. You will also need excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage deadlines effectively and a collaborative approach to team working across education, home and communities.

A relevant postgraduate qualification in SEND would be desirable.

This is a full-time, permanent position and is subject to the terms and conditions of teachers’ contracts.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
