Group Leader - The Lodge, Ringinglow Road, Bents Green, Sheffield 11

The Lodge is a registered children's home providing individualised care for one young person with additional needs. We are looking for highly motivated and forward-thinking Group Leader who has supervisory experience and who is able to assist the Registered Manager in meeting and maintaining the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

Successful candidates will have a Level 3 Diploma in Child care and will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care, promoting positive outcomes, and supporting the young person to reach their full potential. You will be resilient, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to the complex and changing needs of the child, while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. The role will include supervising and coordinating staff as well as the day to day care and wellbeing of the children and young people, liaising and working with multi-agency teams and families to further enhance outcomes for the individuals. Ensuring that individuals physical, emotional and social needs are well met.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to care planning, risk management, and the development of tailored strategies that support the young person’s emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. A sound understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and therapeutic approaches is essential.

The home operates on a flexible rolling 4 week 24 hour rota, which includes weekends, unsociable hours, sleeping in duties and bank holidays (including Christmas and New year), which are paid at enhanced rates of pay.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
